银杏，是目前已知地球上最早的树种，早在2 亿5000万年前的侏罗纪时代就已经扎根于太古世界之中，有活化石之称。银杏树的生命力极之顽强，在日本广岛长崎的原子弹灾灭之后，是最先重现大地的植物，而且毫无受辐射影响的变异情形，实在令人啧啧称奇。正因如此，在日本银杏被誉为“希望的使者”。银杏的扇形对称的叶子由于叶子边缘分裂为二而叶柄处又合并为一的奇特形状，又被视作“调和的象征”寓意着“一和二”、“阴和阳”、“生和死”、“春和秋”等等万事万物对立统一的和谐特质银杏叶子也可以看作心型，所以又可以看成爱情的象征，寄予两个相爱的人最后结合为一的祝福。 德国的伟大诗人歌德(Johann Wolfgang von Goethe)深深地被银杏的特质所触动，于1815年 9月 15日凭诗寄意，写下了短诗“Ginkgo Biloba”，作为向其爱人Mariannevon Willemer示爱的礼物。而1993年，同样来自德国的新世纪音乐家Eddy F. Mueller 也以银杏为主题，为我们献上一趟绝妙的音乐之旅。 二裂银杏叶 （歌德） 生着这种叶子的树木，从东方移进我的园庭； 它给你一个秘密启示，耐人寻味，令识者振奋。　 它是一个有生命的物体，在自己体内一分为二？ 还是两个生命合在一起，被我们看成了一体？ 也许我已找到正确答案，来回答这样一个问题： 你难道不感觉在我诗中，我既是我，又是你和我？ 1993年，Mueller 从一部德国纪录片（Ginkgo, Leaves of Hope）中获得了灵感，并请他的好友——日本女油画家 Atsuko Kato为他的专辑绘画封面，由此完成第一张 以GinKgo Garden之名发行的专辑（Leaves of Hope）。而3年后 Ginkgo Garden的第二张专辑（Secret Call）面世，迅速成为大热。Mueller以其独一无二的和谐之音征服了无数乐迷的耳朵，成为炙手可热的New Age音乐家。东方与西方、音乐与绘画、人类与自然、人间与天堂。灵感和情绪完全渗入到音乐中：其间包括日本诗诵，圣经的引用，流行声乐，优美的萨克斯，合成器迷人的旋律线条和充满了银杏梦幻色彩。 Mueller的音乐加上Atsuko Kato的油画，共谱一趟绝妙的银杏之旅。 Back In Time 01.
